KARACHI: After 250 feeders tripped on Thursday, power supply to most parts of Karachi was
suspended.
The feeders tripped despite additional supply of gas to the city’s sole power producer K-Electric.

on yet to reach its peak, Clifton, Koran
gi, Defence, Liaquatabad, Azizabad and oth
er areas were hit by unannounced loadsh
edding.
Karachi already suffers from water shortages and now has been forced into power shortages.
In their defense, the K-Electric said that increased loadsh
edding was being carried out to manage shortfall due to low gas pressure. The increase in demand of electricity.
