QUETTA: Four people, includ
ing three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, were wounded in a bomb explosion in the Sariab Road on early Wednesday.
The bomb, planted on the roadside, targeted an FC vehicle while it was patroll
ing the city. The explosion partially damaged the vehicle. The bomb disposal squad
said the blast was carried out with a remote-control
led device. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
Heavy contingents of police and rescu
e teams rushed to the scene and initiated a rescue operation. Traffic was susp
ended in the area follow
ing the incident and security was tightened across the city.
